Amparo Rivelles was not a beauty, but by far, she was the greatest Spanish actress, ever. She went to Mexico to play the bitchy Arturo de Córdova's wife in now cult movie El esqueleto de la señora Morales. Ultra catholic, coja, repressed, unbearable, piadosa, vegetarian, She makes life impossible to her taxidermist husband.
Good film, dark humor, not far away from British Ealing, but sadly the prints are awful and the film suffered a low budget, specially on the outside sets of Mexico City.
This scene would have been cut and forbidden in Spanish screens. ¡Viva la libertad de México!
